Incidents and insurance claims

Accidents, theft, damage and breakdowns - and what the insurer pays back.

Steps

  1. Go to Fleet management → Incidents and Report an incident: vehicle, driver, kind, when, where, police reference, witnesses, third party, estimated damage, description and photos. Leave Raise a work order ticked for the repair.
  2. Under Claim, record the claim status, number, amount and excess as it progresses.
  3. When the insurer pays, an approver records the recovery: the money account, amount and date.

Good to know

  • A recovery is posted as its own income (4550 Insurance claim recoveries) - the repair cost stays at its full amount, never netted.
