SMS: Africa's Talking or another gateway

Use your own SMS provider.

Steps

  1. In the API center connect SMS via Africa's Talking, or SMS via another gateway for Safaricom, MTN, Airtel or any provider with an HTTP API: its send URL, how it authenticates (a token, a token URL with a username and password, an API-key header) and the message body with {to}, {message} and {sender}.
  2. In Customer experience → Settings → Hours, SMS & notifications choose the provider, the cost per SMS part (for estimates) and which customer messages go by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Send a test SMS to check.
