Is Fleet management the same as Lease & rentals?

No - Fleet is how you run your own vehicles; Lease & rentals is how you rent assets out to customers.

Steps

  1. Use Fleet management for the vehicles your staff use: drivers, trips, fuel, maintenance, compliance and cost per km.
  2. Use Lease & rentals for assets you hire out and bill to customers.
  3. An asset can be in both: on hire it shows as "On hire" in the fleet and can't be allocated, and both modules share its "Vehicles & assets" code, so it has one cost history.
