Taxes (VAT)

Set the VAT rates you charge and pay, and whether your prices include VAT.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Taxes.
  2. For Kenya, the codes A–E are created for you: A Exempt, B Standard VAT 16% (the default), C Zero-rated, D Non-VAT and E Reduced VAT 8%. Check them, and click Add tax code for any others you need.
  3. Under Sales document defaults, choose whether prices include VAT.

Good to know

  • Each product can have its own tax code; documents use it automatically.
